A Decentralized Storage Network Opens Its Doors — and Its Data

HORNO Network, a proof-of-storage platform operating across 132 countries, has made its live infrastructure metrics public for the first time, offering an unusually candid window into a blockchain project's real-time growth.

In an industry not known for openness, HORNO Network has taken an unusual step: it has published a live, publicly accessible dashboard showing exactly how large — and how fast-growing — its decentralized storage infrastructure has become. The page, available at horno.net/live-status, refreshes in real time, synchronized across every visitor simultaneously.
What that dashboard reveals is a network of notable scale. As of Thursday, the platform counted more than 3,834 active users contributing storage from devices across 132 countries, with 3,280 nodes online and a cumulative shared storage pool of 590.8 terabytes. The network logged more than 24 million storage verifications in a single day, and reported an uptime of 99.97 percent.
590.8 TB Shared storage | 3,280+ Active nodes | 99.97% Network uptime |
Those figures carry added weight given that the platform only opened public registration on April 15 of this year — meaning the network reached its current dimensions in roughly six weeks. Whether that pace is sustainable remains an open question, but the decision to make the metrics visible to all represents a deliberate departure from the opacity that has plagued many blockchain ventures.
"Every new node changes the network. Every new device strengthens the infrastructure. Watch it happen live."
The Technology
HORNO is an acronym for HOst Resource NOde. The platform operates as a software-as-a-service layer that routes unused storage capacity — from smartphones, laptops, personal computers, USB drives and external disks — into a shared global grid. At its core is a system called HFS™, or HORNO File System, a patent-pending architecture that uses SHA-256 hashing and Merkle tree verification to confirm that participating devices are contributing genuine storage, not merely claiming to do so.
Paired with a protocol called PoST™ — Proof of Storage and Time — the system generates the verification events now tallied publicly on the live dashboard. The underlying intellectual property is the subject of a pending provisional application at the United States Patent and Trademark Office, filed in March of this year, covering HFS™, E-HFS™, PoST™, Zero-Knowledge Storage™ and a Dual-Gas™ architecture.
A Road to Mainnet
The company has been candid that the current network represents a build-out phase preceding something more ambitious. A native HORNO blockchain, with a token called HRN, is planned for the second quarter of 2027. The company has said it intends to list HRN on CoinMarketCap and CoinGecko before the mainnet goes live.
In the interim, the platform uses an internal accounting unit called PICO to track user contributions. The company has stated explicitly that PICO is non-transferable, carries no market value and cannot be exchanged outside the platform. Any direct payments to users are made in USDT and are not derived from PICO conversion — a distinction that may matter to regulators in jurisdictions that have taken aggressive stances on digital asset classification.
The live dashboard, with its holographic global map, masked node activity feed and real-time performance metrics, is less a product feature than a statement of intent. In a sector where claims routinely outrun reality, HORNO Network has chosen to let its numbers speak in public — and in real time.
